Counting has begun for the three Lok Sabha and 33 assembly seats in 10 States across the country today.
Medak in Telangana, Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh and Vadodara in Gujarat are the three Lok Sabha seats where bypolls were held on September 13.
Early trends show that while the Samajwadi Party is leading in Mainpuri, the Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be leading in Gujarat.
Expressing confidence over his party's prospects, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "By-polls will be victory for BJP as we have fought on the lines of development and local issues."
"BJP workers have worked hard, we are in a position to win on all seats," BJP leader Vijay Bahadur Pathak also said.
Vadodara Lok Sabha Seat and Maninagar Assembly seat were vacated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while eight other assembly seats were vacated following BJP MLAs election for Lok Sabha.
Polling in Medak Parliamentary constituency was also necessitated due to the resignation of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao from the seat.
