Court frames charges against Yasin Bhatkal

A Delhi court on Tuesday framed conspiracy and other terror charges against Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal and one of his associates.

The Patiala House Court framed the charges against the two in connection with 2008 serial blasts in Delhi that left 26 people dead and 135 others injured.

The court has fixed February 28 for further hearing of the matter.

The charges framed by the court include criminal conspiracy (120B) punishable under Indian Penal Code and various sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, including conspiracy for committing terror act (section 18) and being the member of a terror organisation.

Bhatkal was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) from Nepal-India border region on the night of August 28, 2013.
