Security forces have recovered arms and ammunitions from a Maoist hideout in Bihar's Gaya district.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) recovered acid bulbs, chargers, megaphones and around 1680 bullets of .22mm rifle during a search operation.

However, no one was arrested in the operation.

"We have recovered acid bulbs and around 1680 rounds of .22 mm rifle and we have also recovered megaphone and chargers and some medicines were also found," Deputy Inspector General, CRPF, Chiranjeev Prasad said on Saturday.

Prasad said the investigation is going on in this matter.

The Maoists, who are considered to be India's greatest internal security threat, have off-late intensified their operations in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and some areas of West Bengal.
