Celebrating the results of general elections, a sweet shop in Kolkata is making Modi and Mamata imprinted sweets.

The alliance led by Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 336 of the 543 seats in the Lok Sabha, making it the first time in a quarter of a century that the country will not be led by a coalition government.

The TMC also emerged victorious and won 34 seats.

Many customers flanked sweets shop in Kolkata to savour the sweets and also admired the creation.

"Well, it is an excellent piece of craft that you can see and I think it only shows the sentiments of people in Delhi as well as in West Bengal. I would say Modi's tsunami has come in New Delhi and Mamata Banerjee's tsunami here in Kolkata. We all are very hopeful and wish all the best to Narendra Modi as well as to Mamata," said a customer at the shop, Adarsh.

The sweets shop had also made election symbols for various parties when the mammoth elections had begun.

"When the general elections started, we made party logos like lotus, hand, etc. We sold a lot of those sweets and that is why we made faces of Narendra Modi, Mamata Banerjee," said shop-owner, Pradip Mallick.

Banerjee came to power in West Bengal in 2011, ending more than three decades of Communist rule in the state. Colloquially known as "Didi", or "elder sister", Banerjee's supporters hail her as a champion of India's poor and dispossessed.
