After sweeping all the major awards at 2015 award ceremonies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Bajirao Mastani' has kept its golden run going at IIFA 2016 awards.
While speaking to the media at the green carpet of IIFA 2016, Bollywood's Mastani Deepika Padukone termed the film as "modern-day Mughal-E-Azam."
"I think it was epic and classic in every possible way and it is a modern-day Mughal-E-Azam and that is what we set out to make. I think we achieved that. You can the passion with which the actors have performed," said the 30-year-old actress.
She added, "I think the awards justify all the passion we have all put in the movie."
'Bajirao Mastani' grabbed the maximum awards in technical categories at the ongoing fete.
The historical love saga is expected to win big at the prestigious award ceremony.
