DMK passes resolution on fulfilling demands of the protesting farmers

In a secretary meeting of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), headed by DMK chief M.K. Stalin, the party decided to pass the resolution of fulfilling the demands of the protesting farmers, here on Thursday.

The party decided to waive their loans, and offer them Rs. 4,500 per tonne for sugarcane.

They decided to give Rs. 10,000 to farmers on drought days and form a Cauvery management board.

Along with passing a resolution for the benefit of the farmers, the party passed a few other resolutions.

The party decided to withdraw Goondas act and conduct a human chain protest on July 27 throughout Tamil Nadu to give exemption for NEET exam.
