Ex-NSA official admits Obama's BlackBerry request 'bothered lot of people'

The former technical director of NSA has revealed that Barack Obama's request for a secure BlackBerry "really bothered a lot of people".

Richard 'Dickie' George admitted that the agency had established a lab equipped with experts who worked for months to secure a smart phone for the Commander in Chief in 2008, the New York Daily News reported.

He added that the benefits of the gadget, like games, had to be stripped off for the sake of security before it was handed to the President.
