Facebook users have started complaining in online reviews about the social networking site's shift from the main mobile application to the new messenger app, say reports.
According to the new changes made by Facebook, users are prompted to download messenger when they send messages through Facebook's standalone mobile application.
A Facebook spokesperson said that 200 million people use messenger services every month and that Facebook will work towards making the application even better and faster, reports CNET.
The spokesperson also said that Facebook was developing new ways of sending photos, videos and conversations.
However, Facebook has not made any comments about the criticism regarding its messenger services.
