A former Apple employee has been charged for allegedly stealing the company's trade secrets in relation with the self-driving vehicle project.

The employee, Xiaolang Zhang, worked on the autonomous car project and left the company to work for a Chinese electric vehicle company called Xpeng Motors where he allegedly took over 40 GB of Apple's intellectual property data, Wired reported.
