Gandalf's horse Shadowfax from the 'Lord of the Rings' has been put down as he had been ill for a long time.
In a statement posted to theonering.net, the owner of the famous horse called Blanco, Cynthia Royal, said that as he had been suffering from 'serious issues with his intestinal tract and liver', she was euthanized in his stable, Metro.co.uk reported.
Blanco was first seen in 'The Two Towers'.
