Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh on Sunday said the government will study the Seventh Central Pay Commission report in the right perspective.

"There is a procedure for the pay commission. It is better to speak on it then when the procedure is done. The DoPT department has done many revolutionary works within 17-18 months under Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Singh told the media here.

The Seventh Central Pay Commission had on Thursday submitted its report to the government in which it has recommended a 23.55 percent hike in salary, allowances and pension to the Central Government employees and pensioners.

There are about 47 lakh Central Government employees and 52 lakh pensioners.
