Hyderabad woman attempts to commit suicide outside home minister's cabin

A 33-year-old woman attempted to commit suicide outside Telangana Home Minister Naini Narshimha Reddy's cabin on Saturday.

Saifabad Police said Swapna attempted to commit suicide by consuming sleeping tablets.

"She approached the state home minister with a request that they take action against her husband who was harassing her continuously," said the station house officer.

The attempted suicide created chaos in the state secretariat.
