David Letterman confessed recently that he had no idea that his late friend and actor Robin Williams was "suffering."
The 67-year-old talk show host, who aired a special tribute for the comedian on 'Late Show with David Letterman', spoke about his early days with the 'Mork n Mindy' star, and said that he used to think that Williams would take away his chance in show business, Contactmusic reported.
Letterman, who had first met Williams at West Hollywood's Comedy Store in the 70's, added that the actor was so "kind and easy" that when he interviewed him, the viewership of his show would just go up without him having to do anything besides "watching the machines.
