J-K: Militant killed in brief shootout at Bandipora

One militant was killed in a brief shootout near Bandipora police station in North Kashmir on Thursday.

The police officials said that the army laid a check post outside Bandipora police station following specific inputs that a militant was going to travel through the area.

In the shootout an Army Major also sustained injuries.
