Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday called for a settlement of the boundary issue with China that has acted as an irritant in the bilateral relationship between New Delhi and Beijing.
"As far as China is concerned, our economic relationship continues to grow, there are a lot of mutual investments in both countries, there is a huge trade between the two countries," Jaitley told the gathering while participating in India Global Forum event here.
"But then, we have a pending issue-the settlement of the boundary itself and the commission appointed in 2003 for that purpose, we do hope it functions more expeditiously. We continue to have a dialogue with them and a meaningful dialogue," he added.
The two-day India Global Forum meeting will offer a broad outlook as to how India's recovery under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is observed globally.
