Acting on a tip off, police in Jharkhand have confirmed the seizure of a large amount of explosives and arrested a suspected Maoist.
The explosives were being transported from Domchanch to Hazirabag in a vehicle.
The vehicle was passing through Mahavir Chowk in Koderma, when it was stopped and a search of it led to the discovery of the explosives.
The driver of the car attempted to flee, but he was apprehended by police personnel.
The police have recovered 1500 detonator pieces 200 pieces of power gel and five kilograms of ammonium nitrate
Senior police officials of Koderma sugegsted that the arrested person may have ties with Maoist outfits.
