Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens cast in Fox's 'Grease: Live'

Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens have hopped aboard Fox's 'Grease

Based on the popular musical, the project will see Hough fill the role of angelic "Sandy" - Rydell High's most talked-about newcomer, while Hudgens star as iconic bad girl "Rizzo," Deadline.com reported.

The live production, which has Marc Platt as executive producer, and is being produced by Paramount Television, has been scheduled for Jan 2016 release.
