Karnataka Governor calls on PM Modi

Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala, who took oath on Monday, today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Vala had served as the Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from 2012 to 2014.

Vala had also had served as a Cabinet Minister, holding various portfolios like Finance, Labour and Employment in Gujarat from 1998 to 2012 and was elected to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from the Rajkot West constituency a number of times.
