Key iPhone engineer to leave Apple post fallout

Greg Christie, vice president and a senior engineer who played an important role in developing the original iPhone, is reportedly leaving Apple following a scuffle with a senior executive.

Christie was head of Apple's Human interface team whose aim was to make elegant and user-friendly softwares.

His team created the iPhone's famous 'slide to unlock; function and the ability to place calls from a contact list, CNET reported.

9to5mac reported that Christie was leaving following a spat with Jonathan Ive, the head of industrial and software design.

Apple's spokesperson however has denied reports that Christie was leaving following a brawl.
