A day after a court ordered her to face trial in two corruption cases, Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will address a rally in Brahmanbaria this afternoon.
The BNP is using the rally to drum up public support for holding a fresh election under a non-party administration, reports the Daily Star.
Zia has reportedly left her Gulshan residence in Dhaka for Brahmanbaria. She will address the rally at the Niaz Mohammad High School ground around 3 p.m.
The former premier will return to Dhaka today itself.
