Sri Lanka lead South Africa by 247 runs with seven wickets remaining on the fourth day of the second Test at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo.
The hosts have lost three wickets as both the sides went on a lunch break after Sri Lanka amassed a total of 108 runs in the second innings on day four for the loss of three wickets.
South Africa's Quinton de Kock caught Upul Tharanga for his individual score of 30 off ace bowler Dale Steyn's delivery and Vernon Philander caught J K Silva for his individual score of 26 runs off the delivery of Morne Morkel.
Former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara is batting at 38 runs while another former skipper from the host side Mahela Jayawardene was caught for a duck by Dean Elgar of Imran Tahir's delivery.
Sangakkara is batting along with skipper Angelo Mathews, who has put up an individual score of 14.
Sri Lanka will shortly resume batting after the lunch break is over.
