LeT terrorist Abdul Karim Tunda held guilty for 1996 Sonipat bomb blasts

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) bomb-maker Abdul Karim Tunda was on Monday pronounced guilty for 1996 Sonepat blasts case by a Sonipat court.
Tunda has been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 3 of the Explosive Substances Act and could face a jail term up to 10 years, according to the lawyers.
The 1996 bomb blasts near the busy bus streets of Sonipat left at least a dozen of people injured.
Tunda was captured from Nepal in 2013. According to Tundra, he was in Pakistan when the blast took place.
A prosecution lawyer said 43 eyewitnesses, including injured, recorded their testimony in the trial.
