The Lahore High Court has restrained the Federal Film Censor Board from issuing certificates for showing Indian films.
Petitioners said that the damage to Pakistan's film industry was irreparable due to the screening of Indian films.
They contended that the court should order a ban on them, Dawn News reports.
The certificates permitted the exhibition of Indian films in the country.
LHC judge Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan issued an order saying that the Censor Board in Pakistan should stop issuing certificates until further notice, the report added.
