Maggie Gyllenhaal dyed her brunette locks blond because she wanted to feel better about herself.
During an interview with the Independent, the 36-year-old actress confessed that though she liked her new hair color, it still didn't make her "happy", and hence had reverted back to her dark hair.
The beauty, who'll soon be seen in BBC political thriller 'The Honourable Woman', added that she just wanted to change things as she had had a "long hard winter", but it didn't.
