Maoists attack villagers in Bihar's Nawada District

Heavily armed Maoists thrashed several villagers and torched two tractors and a motor cycle in the Rani Bazar area of Bihar's Nawada District on Friday evening.
Nawada District's Superintendent of Police, Parvez Akhtar, said the aim of the Maoists was to lure police personnel to the place to attack them.
He said Bihar Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have launched a massive combing operation in the area.
