Australian batsman Shaun Marsh has said that his team is out to imitate its Ashes whitewash with another clean sweep in the limited-overs series against England.

Marsh has played 32 of his 41 one-day internationals as an opener, but in the second half of last year lost his slot in the team to Phillip Hughes, who is not in the Australian squad for this series.

According to News.com.au, Marsh, who needs just 10 runs to reach 1500 one-day international runs (at an average of 38.2), said that the team is confident of having success in the one-day series as they are fresh from their 5-0 cleansweep.

However, Marsh admitted that Australia needs to play very well if they want to win the one-day series 5-0 as England is a very good one-day team and is ranked No.3 in the world.

Marsh's strike rate of 77 runs per hundred balls places him on a par with the likes of the Waugh twins, Michael Clarke and Matthew Hayden, the report added.
