A man, who has successfully done skydiving and zip-wired from the top of Newcastle's Tyne Bridge among other things, has been devoid of fear since he got rid of the gland that produces adrenalin, the hormone which makes us feel scared.

Jordy Cernik, from Jarrow, near Newcastle, was suffering from a rare condition called Cushing's syndrome and in order to treat the disease he had to undergo an operation to remove the adrenalin-producing gland, the Mirror reported.

Since then the dad-of-two has not feared any of his daredevil exploits and is planning on doing more, especially for charity purposes.

The 38-year-old said told the publication that he would never have had the guts to do any of the dangerous sports, but now nothing fazes him.

Cernik added that he is up for anything and he is even thinking about doing a wing-walk on a plane too.
