Conspiracy theories continue to abound about the mysterious disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

Now, according to a news.com.au report, a team of mathematicians is claiming that the Boeing 777 vanished without a trace because it plunged into the Indian Ocean at a 90-degree angle.

They also say that the perfect nosedive allowed the aircraft to stay intact, and cite that as the reason for not finding any debris or oil since the plane disappeared in March last year with 239 people on board.

Meanwhile, Emirates airline president Tim Clark has been quoted, as saying that the Australian Government may soon call off its search.

Fairfax quoted him, as saying on the sidelines of the International Air Transport Association annual meeting in Miami that it the search for the missing aircraft seemed to be a wild goose chase.
