Naxals fire on CISF troops in Chhattisgarh

Naxals fired at the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) troops at deposit no. 5 atop Bailadila Hills in Chhattisgarh and burnt machinery and two vehicles.

The maoists attacked vehicles of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) carrying explosives. They looted explosives and detonators and held employees hostage who have now been freed.

Commandant 230 is on its way with troops.

There are no reports of death or injury yet. The encounter is still underway.
