Nepal's Cricket team captain Paras Khadka bats for Earth Anthem

Nepal's National Cricket Team captain Paras Khadka has shown his support for an Earth Anthem written by poet-diplomat Abhay K.

"It's an Earth Anthem, so I think hopefully it will create all the positive vibes, all of us and world need better environmental level, so we hope that with everybody's contribution the world will be a better place to live in," said Khadka.

He further added, "First of all congratulations to Abhay K, I would like to wish him the very best. It (Earth Anthem) gives a lot of positive message and hopefully it will continue to do better. My wishes are always with him."

 

Paras Khadka has played for the Nepal national cricket team since 2004. Under his captaincy, Nepal has won several international matches.

The Earth Anthem by poet-diplomat Abhay K is in eight languages including six official UN languages.

The Central Board of Secondary School (CBSE) of India has put it on its website for the schools affiliated to it. Earth Anthem is also used by a number of schools across Asia, Africa and Australia.

UNESCO has called Indian diplomat's idea of an official Earth Anthem an inspiring thought that will contribute in bringing the world together.

Hollywood actor Robert Lin, Bollywood Actress Manisha Koirala and singing nun Ani choying Drolma, CNN Hero Pushpa Basnet and Nepali actress Reecha Sharma have also shown their support for an Earth Anthem.
