The news was revealed via n ad, featuring stars Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson, and Sean Harris as head of a shadowy organization called The Syndicate, Deadline.com reported.
Filled with stunts, the ad, which also revealed the film to have an "anti-IMF" group plotting, shows Cruise hanging on to the outside of a jetliner on takeoff.
The full trailer will be released March 23, for the movie, which will debut July 31.
The film, which was helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, is being produced by Skydance Productions and Bad Robot while Paramount is handling distribution.
