Researchers have developed a new online test that could help test pups' intelligence via special games that will provide information about their intelligence.

The online service by Duke University's Canine Cognition Center is called Dognition, the New York Post reported.

Vanessa Woods, one of Dognition's founders, launched the service this past March with her husband, Brian Hare, an associate professor in evolutionary anthropology and cognitive neuroscience at Duke and founder of the Canine Cognition Center.

To sign up at dognition.com, users pay a 39 dollars introductory fee, plus 9 dollars a month or 60 dollars a year.

The initial assessment lasts a total of 80 minutes, with 19 individual games that vary in length and measure a dog's reasoning, communication, cunning, memory and empathy.

The dogs are classified as Einsteins, Stargazers, Aces, Charmers, Experts, Mavericks, Protodogs, Renaissance Dogs and Socialites.
