Long-distance endurance swimmer Diana Nyad will directly confront skeptics and their claims that her record-setting swim from Cuba to Florida was not done in a fair manner, at a closed-door meeting on Tuesday.

According to ABC News, Nyad's spokeswoman Alexandra Crotin revealed that the swimmer was committed to compete transparency.

Crotin did not answer questions about details of the meeting, including where and when it was taking place and who planned to attend, the report said.

A small community of marathon swimmers is questioning whether 64-year-old endurance swimmer Diana Nyad accomplished the feat of a 110-mile swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage, honestly.
