The Delhi Police on Monday stated that one Joint Commissioner and seven inspectors have been posted at the city's Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB).
"The government has posted one Joint Commissioner ranked officer and seven inspectors in the ACB to augment its resources and fight corruption. If the need arises, more staff will be posted very soon," Delhi Police PRO Rajan Bhagat told ANI.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police Joint Commissioner M.K. Meena has been appointed the new chief of Delhi's Anti Corruption Branch by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.
However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged that the appointment is in contempt of court because the Delhi High Court had clarified that the ACB comes under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government.
