Brazil football great Pele has backed the appointment of new national coach Tite while describing the former Corinthians manager as a reliable man for a demoralized team.
Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, better known as Tite, was appointed as Brazil's coach after Dunga was sacked following the side's humiliating exit from the Copa America Centenario.
Pele, however, defended the outgoing coach, saying that Dunga is not one to blame as he did not have time to put together a team, Sport24 reported.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), however, has given the task of leading the national side in the Rio Olympics to current under-20s coach Micale.
Tite will take the reins from the Brazil's qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup.
Tite had earlier coached a number of top clubs in Brazil, including Gremio, Atletico Mineiro and Palmeiras, Al Ain and Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.
The 55-year-old had also led Corinthians to two Brazilian league titles in 2011 and 2015 and to the Copa Sudamericana in 2013.
Brazil will host this year's summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro from August 5 to21.
