Perks that keep employees happy revealed

A new poll has found that some of the perks workers demand the most from their job are a car park, mobile phone and flexible working conditions.

According to a survey of over 9000 workers conducted by Clarius website My Salary Portal, the top request depends on the industry a person is working in, News.com.au reported.

It was found that the number one perk for accountants was a car park, which was requested by nearly one in three workers, with flexible working hours and a car allowance close behind.

Workers in banking and finance revealed that they wanted a car or car allowance the most, while a mobile phone and car park was demanded by around 12 per cent of staff.

 

The poll also found that one in five workers in the IT industry requested for a phone and 12 per cent wanted a car or car allowance.

Top 10 commonly requested perks in banking finance, accounting and IT were:

1. Car park

2. Car or car allowance

3. Mobile phone or phone allowance

4. Flexible working conditions

5. Extra annual leave

6. Health care subsidies

7. Additional super

8. Flexible working hours

9. Overtime payments

10. Company paid training.
