Petrol price slashed by Rs 1 per litre

Following a decline in international crude prices, petrol price has also been slashed by Rs 1 per litre excluding VAT.
As per the new rates that became effective last night, petrol will cost Rs 66.65 paise per litre in Delhi and Rs 74.21 in Kolkata.
However, in Mumbai the price has dropped to Rs 74.46 and Rs 69.59 a litre in Chennai.
Earlier in September, petrol prices were slashed by Rs. 0.65 per litre while the diesel price remained unchanged.
