Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday has condoled the demise of noted Hindustani classical vocalist Ustad Hussain Sayeeduddin Dagar in Pune yesterday night.
He passed away at the age of 78 after a brief illness.
"Ustad Hussain Sayeeduddin Dagar's demise is saddening. His contribution to Hindustani classical music will be remembered for generations," the Prime Minister said.

He further added that the people across India and the world were enthralled by the music of Dagar.

The burial is to be take place in Jaipur.
