PM Modi holds talks with Afghan President Ghani

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Afghanistan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit here.

Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Vikas Swarup shared the information on twitter.

"And the neighbourhood engagement continues. PM @narendramodi with President @ashrafghani of Afghanistan," he posted.

Prime Minister Modi's meeting with President Ghani comes after he held bilateral talks with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif, with both sides agreeing to cooperate with each other to eliminate terrorism from South Asia, noting their collective responsibility to ensure peace.
