Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the people on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya.
The Prime Minister took to the micro blogging site Twitter to extend his best wishes.
"I wish you all on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. May this festival bring in happiness, prosperity and success in your life...," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
Akshay Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is a holy day for Hindus and Jains.
It is an auspicious day of the birthday of Lord Parasurama who is the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
