The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday assured that steps will be taken to ensure that the common man is not inconvenienced by the VIP treatment meted out to ministers.

"The Prime Minister's Office has sought a report on this (flights delay). The concerned Minister has apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers and also ensured that steps will be taken in future so that such incidents don't recur," BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao told ANI.

Party's clarification came after two back-to-back incidents of BJP ministers: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, delayed flights for their convenience.
