Police constable shot at in J-K's Shopian

A group of terrorists on late Wednesday night opened fire at a police constable in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.

The victim has been identified as Ashiq Hussain.

Hussain was rushed to a local hospital and his condition is said to be stable now.

Earlier on September 9, a police officer was killed and another was injured when terrorists opened fire on a police contingent at a bus stand in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident was reported hours after a terrorist - a district commander of Hizbul Mujahideen - was killed in an encounter in Sopore.
