President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and the people of the United Mexican States on the eve of their Independence Day.
"On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the people of the United Mexican States on the occasion of your Independence Day," the President said in his message to President of the United Mexican States, Enrique PeñaNieto.
President Mukherjee said that India and Mexico have traditionally enjoyed close and friendly relations, based on 'Privileged Partnership'.
"In recent years, both India and Mexico have emerged as dynamic economies. The recent exchanges of visits and frequent interactions between India and Mexico have generated a new momentum in our bilateral relations," he said
"We both recognize the strong potential for advancing our bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors in the future," he added.
The President also conveyed his wishes for continued good health and success of Mexican President and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Mexico.
