Customs officials at Pune International airport on Sunday intercepted two women passengers and seized gold worth over Rs 30 lakh from them.
As per a statement, both the passengers who had been intercepted hold Sri Lankan passports and were carrying 914.25 gms of 24-carat gold in the form of chain, bangles, and biscuits. The total worth of the gold is reported to be Rs 30,31937.
Further investigation in the matter is underway.
