Qualcomm has introduced a range of new processors in the 400 and 600 series which are crafted for use in mid-range phones.
The Snapdragon 429 and 439 chipsets are claimed to deliver up to 25 percent faster and more battery efficient performance, The Verge reported.
The Snapdragon 632 SoC is capable of delivering up to 40 percent faster performance than the predecessor. It is also capable of supporting dual cameras, 4K video capture, and LTE.
Devices running the newer processors are expected to arrive later this year.
