Adam Lambert, who recently became Queen's frontman for BBC's New Year's Eve celebrations alongside original members Brian May and Roger Taylor, has said that he is not trying to replace Freddie Mercury.
The American singer asserted that he is trying to keep the memory alive, and remind people how amazing Mercury was, without imitating him, the Daily Express reported.
He continued that he is trying to share with the audience how much Mercury inspired him.
May said that Lambert is the first person they have encountered who can do all the Queen catalogue without blinking and the singer is a gift from god.
The band is all set to hit the road for their UK tour with their new line-up from January 13, 2015.
