Resilient England eke out 1-1 draw against Italy in friendly tie

England displayed a resilient performance on Tuesday night as they came from behind to play out a 1-1 draw against Italy in a friendly tie in Turin.
Southampton striker Graziano Pelle's first-half header put Italy ahead in the 29th minute before Andros Townsend's spectacular late second-half strike leveled the score for Roy Hodgson's side, the BBC reported.
England received a major boost by the introduction of several substitutes in the second-half, which also saw captain Wayne Rooney almost adding a second one before veteran Italian keeper Gianluigi Buffon made a stunning save.
With the draw, England ended their streak of seven consecutive victories since their dismal World Cup campaign last year.
