Brittany Maynard, who chose to end her life while fighting a terrible disease, has hit back at her critics from beyond the grave.
In a new video, which was made in August but released now on Maynard's 30th birthday, she has urged all US states to pass laws allowing terminally ill people to die with dignity, News.com.au reported.
The video was released by an advocacy group Compassion and Choices that worked with Maynard during the last months of her life in a campaign about allowing terminally ill people to hasten their deaths.
In the conference call, Compassion and Choices officials, who held a conference call with journalists, hoping to build on the momentum generated for the movement while Maynard was alive, said legislators in about a dozen states plan to introduce right-to-die laws in 2015.
It features photographs of Maynard before her illness and the voices of other terminally ill patients and their family members.
