Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has expressed hope that Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who is yet to score a goal for his newly-joined club, would definitely net in their Serie A match against Italian football club Sassuolo on Sunday.
"Cristiano worked well and I think he will score. I expect nothing more and nothing less than what he did in the first three games," Marca.com quoted Allegri, as saying.
Reflecting on the nominations for this year's FIFA's 2018 Best Men's Player award, where the forward player is competing against Luka Modric and Mohamed Salah, the coach said that Ronaldo deserves to win after his impressive performance for Real Madrid during last season.
"Without taking away credit from Modric, I think Cristiano deserves the prize for what he did last year at Real Madrid," he said.
Ronaldo had scored a total of fifteen goals in last year's Champions league leading the team to their thirteenth title victory in the tournament.
The winner of the FIFA's 2018 Best Men's Player award will be announced on September 24.
