Ryan Harris not ready to hang boots just yet

Dismissing suggestions that the Ashes might be the last international match of his career, Ryan Harris has said that he hoped to keep playing into the Australian summer.

The Australian fast bowler will soon turn 36 but is determined to carry on as long as his "battle-scarred body" cooperated, reported Sport24.

Harris said that his goal was to get back and play here in Australia but added, "That's a long way off."

He said that he had already retired three or four times because of the many injuries he suffered in the past five years but was looking forward to England now. "We haven't won over there for a long time and hopefully we can turn that around this time," he added.

After recovering from knee injury last year, the Australian veteran paceman played three of Australia's four home Tests against India. He was recently overlooked, somewhat controversially, for the co-hosts' World Cup squad despite his fine record in one-day internationals.
